Aloha! I’m Chris Senn, one of the artists at Ancient Mariner Tattoo, which I co-founded with my partner Adam 7 years ago in Kailua-Kona. My passion is creating tattoos that tell stories and carry meaning — from the bold lines of traditional American flash, to the intricate symbolism of Japanese designs, to the powerful heritage of Polynesian tribal tattoos. I’ve had the opportunity to travel the world tattooing in Asia, Europe, Australia, San Francisco, South America, and countless other countries, bringing a global perspective to every piece I create. Inspired by the aloha lifestyle and deep respect for the islands and its people, I want every client to feel at home, enjoy meeting new friends, and share in the process of creating new stories and designs together. Surfing, skateboarding, and island life influence my art as I blend traditions with organic, nature-inspired designs to make tattoos that are truly personal.

Aloha! I’m Adam McNatt, co-founder and artist at Ancient Mariner Tattoo in Kailua-Kona. For the past 7 years, I’ve been bringing passion, precision, and creativity to every tattoo I create. I’m a color master and a black & grey wizard, specializing in vibrant, dynamic tattoos as well as detailed, shadow-rich black and grey work. My style spans traditional American, Japanese, and Polynesian tribal designs, each crafted with meaning and respect for its cultural roots. Guided by the aloha lifestyle and deep respect for the islands and its people, I love making clients feel at home, sharing stories, and collaborating to bring their visions to life. Exploring the islands and capturing the underwater world through diving and photography inspires my art, blending local influences with the spirit of Hawaii.
